Ok so I ordered a sundown 3000d and am going to be ordering a couple of bl 18's in a couple of days... question is how am i going to hook up the rca's to the stock radio? I want to keep the stock radio because i dont want to mess with onstar or any of that. Thanks.

Well, you will not be able to control the sub output, but there are a few things you can get. The cheapest rought will be buying a line out conerter, but you have to tap into your speaker wires . You can also go to http://www.soundgate.com and buy an intergration harness. You can also get either a clean sweep, rockford 360, or an audiocontrol DQL-8. These will all give you the option of running external amps, but they are pricey. YOur cheapest and best rought is to buy a new head unit and you will have to get a GMOS-07 harness that will allow you to keep onstar and Boss. It is very easy to wire and you will be able to control your subs through the HU.

Also, I went to a site that sells them and I don't see it being compatible with 08 models...

well then, you'll just have to upgrade your stock radio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I really want to keep the stock..... how well would just a line out converter work?
Stay away from them they are garbage. The harness that you need will run anywhere from $50-100 depending on where you go. It will alow you to still keep your Boss system and Onstar. If you take it to any shop and let them install it for you if ou ever go to sell the car they will refactorize the car for free. You will gain an over all better quality of sound and have sub cointrols where with a line out converter you will not.

And could I just tap into lets say the back left speaker wire and only connect that to the converter or would I have to hook them all up?
I'm looking @ this. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6359_AudioControl+LC6i+-GRAY+LC6-.html#
I you are looking into the Audiocontrol, you have to tap into every speaker wire. I am asuming that you will be installing this yourself so just get a new HU and the GMOS-07 and call it a day. Save yourself the trouble and headakes, plus if you really don't know what you are doing and you mess something up you will have to pay alot to fix it.
