I honostly dont know how hard it is to double check everything especially the builder. Invision it being put together hell draw it out of you have too. You should be able to immediatly notice an error if it wont fit together.
the plan shows how the edges should be put together //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and BBP6 has something wrong with it if those demensions are wrong.

if its the one i sent him, i did it. It showed the sub MIGHT HIT 1 1/4 inches of that port piece I believe, I cant recall exactly, but it was LESS than the 2 inches he made the correction for.
i was just wondering if it showed the top piece sitting 1" higher than the other 3 walls of the port opening (if you can understand what that means).

i was also wondering if it was ever mentioned that the top piece should be 4" shorter to allow for the port opening (even though it should be obvious).

thats BBP6 demensions, not 80's. Dude assembled it wrong so it seems.

the plan shows the top piece sitting on top of the box. yes. All that is needed is A) a jig saw B) a router with a flush trime bit or C) a fucking butter knife.

i was just saying, that if you start with the BBP box, and want to put the port and driver on the "top" wall, you have to cut 4" off the top to allow for the port opening.

if you do this, it will make the top piece sit higher than the other 3 walls of the port opening. if you wanted them all to be even you'd have to start doing 90 degree cuts, and adding an inch to the other pieces.

this doesn't really affect the funtionality of the box, i just wouldn't want my box to look like that.

i have not seen everything 80 sent him, so maybe he accounted for this.

i think the biggest mistake here was starting with a BBP plan for a sealed box and then trying to add in a port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

if it was all done in sketchup anyways, it might have well just been dimensioned in there.

makes no sense. if you want the top piece on top, put it on there, and cut the port hole out of it, if you want it sandwhiched between all sides, extend things up 1 inch, and cut all sides of the baffle down 1 inch except port side or whatever. (which would be cut down enough to have the port width correct.

sketchup i sent 80, because I was worried about fitment..........doesnt fit as you can see. as you can see its 1 11/16 inch for mounting clearance.

also note how I did the top piece......you can cut that with a friggin jig saw. but also notice that there is quite a bit of room ( i believe i went from outtermost edge to 2.5 inches so the outter most edge of the hole is 2.5 from the farthest edge. he could have moved it over ATLEAST 1 inch, if not 1.25.

saywhat thank god u still have that pic

folks as u can see the original plan i had was 1/16th's to long and it would have hit the sub..thats if the port wall was 17x17...so to fix that i told him to make the port wall 17x15....which would fix the problem...where did i go wrong?

but this is a learning lesson.....

80

ok, i see what you did with the port opening.

i was assuming all cuts (except the driver cutout) would be straight all the way through the board (making live easier).

you would have to have a router and some kind of guide to make that port opening look good. i don't think a jigsaw would do too well (but it could).

I will see what can be done. Maybe go with a new plan or with this one. What is true last time I had a plan made is same **** en problem. The dude gave the wrong cut out dimensions. Luckily I gave it to my friend he checked it over and corrected it. So bottom line is don't trust any **** en body they can't measure or give the right cut out sheets.

so what you *****es babbling about is the box still wrong or what??

One of the piece seem taller lol and sticking out of the box.
