I love the new Civics styling and what not, but I test drove a bone stripped LX w/5-speed and the car was a dog. My car isn't fast by any means ('01 Accord EX Coupe w/5-speed), but the Civic didn't hold a candle to it...but the Si, that's a different story. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Overall the car was SUPER comfortable and the interior was typical Honda, very high quality materials with low gloss plastics with SUPER comfortable, bolstered seats that would actually keep you in place during hard cornering.
For all you Honda haters, go drive a Civic/Accord coupe and run the hell out of it and tell me you didn't have fun, they are a blast to drive with the 5-speed in them. Even though the Civic I drove was a dog, it was still fun and handled nicely and visibility was outstanding, from what I can remember.
If I was in the market for a new car and could afford the insurance, I'd be driving a black Si as we speak. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Honda makes one hell of a car, and you can't go wrong with them either, resale value is best in the business and reliability is up to par with Toyota/Lexus/Buick, which are best in the automotive business right now.
And I drive the piss out of my car and still manage 22-26 mpg PURE city, stop and go. I know Fusion_FREAK drove the hell out of his car too and was managing somewhere around 30 mpg CITY. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I was never in to Honda's until I drove my Accord, and walked away with a HUGE smile. I can fix anything myself, super easy to work on, and the cost to maintain is stupid cheap. The car was built nearly 8 years ago and there isn't one squeak or rattle in the interior, none. And Fusion-FREAK's '97 Civic with nearly 200,000 miles on it didn't have a squeak or rattle present either.
Honda FTW.
