05 grand prix fuse tap

ok so i got the cheap harness and was trying to tap into something to ge the radio to turn on i kno this is prolly posted somwhere else but i am trying to save time now can i run a wire from the red cord in the harness to the fuse box under the hood cause i am kinda cautious about tapping into other wires(dont want to blow something up) plus i dont have good tools im away at school pics would be greatly appre. or a link wit pics thanks to whoever can help
