So i started on my shop truck equipment consists of avic head unit, audiocontrol eqx,2-massive audio 800.4's,2-massive audio 3000.1's,8-massive audio DC12's,3-massive audio ck6 comp. sets,1-massive audo ck5 comp. sets,2-massive audio pw8's,6-kinetic 2400's,4-runs 0ga. hyperflex,20 cube wall tuned to 48hz....and hopefully i will end up with one loud azz ford!

Here are some pics i started out with the doors because i have to send them off to paint and airbrush and i can finish the box and interior while they are gone.

the front doors will each hold 3 ck6 comp. sets and a 8" midbass,no inside handles,no switches all fiberglass.

i am molding a set of ck5 comps into the a-pillars,yes the a-pillars

there is a custom console that goes from the dash all the way back to the box that holds the door poppers and window switches as well as a 17 inch monitor for the backup camera.

therear doors will each hold a massive 800.4 and all the x-overs for that amp. again no handles or switches

the box is double walled with 1"mdf and braced with 2x4's and the interior is rounded on all corners with fiberglass(its something new im trying) it is about 19cubes net after port and speaker displacement and tuned to 48hz(this is for spl not music) the subs will be basically turned of when not running on the meter(hints the 8's in the front doors)

im running a dual alternator setup with 6-kinetic 2400's,kicker hyperflex throughout and a shit-ton of damping.

im sure there is a lot that im forgetting but i will update as i progress.

onto the pics......

thank you sir! i have some pics of the pillars and the box i will post tomorrow. as well as the updates on the navigator.

im also gonna start this week on my wifes car. 2002 cavalier with 2-12" orion hcca's,2-orion 5000d's and all hcca comps. it should be pretty loud! lol,in a cavalier. too funny.

read the first post, the box is built purely for spl. the box will be turned off when not on the meter. this is my shop/show truck so it just sits in my showroom on display. its pretty much a rolling business card!

Why are you going to tune the wall to 48 Hz? Is this for street beating or daily ground pounding? If this is for a daily setup, you really need to consider a lower tuning.
the higher u tune the louder it is to the ear right

the lower the more air is pushed and the more excursion of the sub and more vibrations and bigger bass or wat

actually spl records are set at higher frequencies. you have to tune the box to the woofer but you also have to tune the box to the interior resonance of the vehicle.

so if the interior resonance of your vehicle is say 50hz you would want to tune the box say around 47hz or so. this gives you "head room" when running on the meter. this is how i have always done it.

my method is i build the vehicle then take a sealed enclosure with any woofer in it,make sure is ealed completely then close the vehicle up and run it on the meter. wherever you peak frequency is thats what i use as my starting point and tune the box how i explained earlier, this may not be the typical way to do it but it has always worked well for me.

i know im prolly gonna get bashed for this in some way. anyone gonna chime in and tell me how wrong i am? lol. this is just my 2 cents.
