'02 Civic Stereo Installation

Hey car audio folks,

I apologize for first time posting as a cry for help. I turn to the experts in a time of need, so if anyone can offer assistance, I will truly be thankful.

I'm trying to install this new Pioneer stereo (X2600UI) in my '02 Civic LX, yet I cannot figure out why it's not working. I've replaced a blown fuse (interior - 7.5w radio), but still, no dice. It will not power on. The wires are secured together and bound with electric tape according to correct color coordination. Earlier today I was able to get it to power on for a little bit (under a minute), but slightly moving the unit caused it to loose power (and it has not worked since). Any experts out there that can offer me some advice? I really appreciate your time,

Thank you so much

It could be a few things, first, check to see if your headunit has an internal fuse, this could be blown. Next, check your radio/audio/stereo fuse located at your dash panel fuse box to see if that's blown. If all power is running properly and everything is wired correctly (ex:12v constant to 12v constant, 12v switched to 12v switched, Ground to Ground) then it could be your headunit that has a problem. Try installing a different stereo to see if that one gets power. If it does, then its your headunit, if not, then your car could have an internal wiring issue.
