02 Alero Stereo

Hey - A few days ago my 02 Alero had to be jumped. When it was jumped, the connection was bad, and from that point forward, my stereo in dead. I also had an XM radio hooked up to the stereo, which also appears to be fried. The door chimes, and low fuel chime is also dead.

I would like to remove the factory cassette/radio/cd and replace it with another factory. My question is, will it just involve swapping the stereo units, or will I need to rewire the entire thing?

If it is just a swap - what level of skill are we talking here? Pretty basic, or highly involved.

Did u check your fuses?

Yes - all the fuses appear to be fine.

Didnt know they had a low fuel chime, just a light.

Yep - it is (rather was) just a single "ding" when the light came on...now just the light comes on.

You checked the fuses in all 3 fuse boxes? Underhood, left instrument panel, and right instrument panel.
