Today I bought a pioneer deh-4900 for my 01 chevy mailbu, I connected all of the speaker wires to their respectable positions but I have 3 wires left on the back of the reciever ( battery, acc and icc) but I have 6 wires from the car left!!! Can anybody lend me any help as to what goes to where.as a side note I would like to add that I am a 1st timer and I have an amp kit, with a voltage tester... if that helps. OH and one more thing, one wire reads +12 continuous, and the rest read -12 (on the voltage tester....)thanks in advanc for your help!

GET A WIRING KIT. if you have a legit wiring kit there should not be any left over wires, and then it will plug straight into the car radio plugs. the +12 is probably the remote wire that keeps a small amount of power supplied to the radio when the car is off so that it can retain all your presets and stuff.

it sucks I have a 2005 malibu classic same body style as yours... I will be easier to get a wiring kit. I just ran new wires for it, straight to the battery and I taped into the ignition wire right by were you put the key in.
