**** 0 Guage Wire Wont Fit. I Need Help!

I have had 0 guage for a while i i just sawed downb the wire as much as I can to fit in this Avionixx 1200.2 . But I am starting to feel unsafe I can barely tug the wire and it will come out.Whats something I can do to make this fit its stressing me out.

Yeah, or you could put in a amp for your mids and highs, thus justifying the 1/0 and a distro block

for a very short run of wire the 4 awg will be just fine. dont worry about ot getting all the power loss you think you are going to get. the only time you need to start worrying is over long distances over 10 feet. as long as you have 1/0 gauge for the bulk of the distance (the batt to trunk area) then you will be straight. the distro block is a great thing since you dont have to worry about splicing and crimping, heatshrinking and all that garbage, just get a distro block, trust me you will be thanking us all later for persuading you. nothing wrong with stepping down, i know it wont look as pretty, your other option is to get a ring/spade terminal and screw it in the power input of the amp. Anything solid copper with brass or silver or gold plating on it will be just fine as a terminal, just look for something that will fit your amp's power input terminal.

The only 4 guage wire I have is that walmart crap.Will that work for like a 8 inch distace from the distro block.Im getting this http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=BC-1024 and this http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=RT1/0516R that away my battery connection is safer also. There is just a screw going through the wire. LOl Should this be ok with the 8 inches of walmart wire?I could prolly run 2x of the walmart wire into the amp terminal....Hmmm

You should be fine using the walmart wire. Is it the scoche wire they sell? If so im using that wire and it is perfectly fine. Wire is wire. Dont even worry about running 2x of it, one is enough.

Yeah i was thinkin since it was scloche it wasnt actually 4 guage it dont have as many strands of wire as a good 4 guage wire.. But I trust you guys.

Should I just get 2 of these? Just poke the 4 gauge end into the amp and screw it in? The just buy a 0 guage crimp? Could i find that @ Ace or a hardware store becuase 5 dollars shipped is alot of just a crimp ring terminal..
