Guys,

I currently have a pg xenon 600.1 (600 rms). I also have an octance R 4 channels amp which I will be replacing with a pg xenon 100.4 (100 rms x 4).

Will 4 guage be enough for this power? It is about 13 feet in lenght.

The pg 600.1 recommends a fuse size of 60A while the 100.4 recommends a 80A totaling 140. What amp fuse do I need to run for the anl fuse near the battery?

Right now I am running 100A fuse.

About the power, I am just powering the rears as filler so no big amount of power will be used.

Thanks,

Tony

1/0 will be plenty for that setup.

hell, even 4ga would work fine for that.

and the fuse near the battery depends on the wire you use.

but for 1/0 i would go atleast 150.

no need to go higher since your amps arent going to draw more than that.

heck i have a 60 amp fuse in my 4guage setup and i have never blown it. I just don't have the amperage to give me that amount of current draw.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif According to the wiring thread, 4guage will work for up to 1400rms at 20 ft long. 0 guage is over-kill for most daily systems.

1/0 is good for "in case" of upgrading in the future instead of spending $ on 4 guage and putting it in than later in the future someone decides to upgrade an amp theyd have to take it out and spend the $$ on larger wire, mine as well do it the first time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
