ya i ran mine on the passenger side. when you take the panels out and pull up the carpet a bit, there are those black plastic things with all the vehicles factory wires running though...i ran my 0 gauge right along with them. took a little while to feed it through, but made for a clean install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Ya man, in my jetta, even 4 gauge was a pain.i have a vw, and with any euro car, its a pain in the ***. to run any kinda wire. but i pulled the carpet to run it.
Nor i, nor is this the first major install in the vehicle, i have never had an issue. Only takes one tho!I had mine like that for a while. No problems.
the hardest part was pulling 18 feet of 0 gauge through a rubber grommet.. that shit was so tight it was like boning a 12 year old. i wouldnt know how its like boning a 12 year old, but you get the sexy picture. i lubed the entire run of 0 gauge with a little grease.. that shit was a mess but oh well it made it that much easier to slide through..
Try running 2 1/0 AWG runs through a rubber grommet only meant for 1! That was like boning a *****, but I did it!the hardest part was pulling 18 feet of 0 gauge through a rubber grommet.. that shit was so tight it was like boning a 12 year old. i wouldnt know how its like boning a 12 year old, but you get the sexy picture. i lubed the entire run of 0 gauge with a little grease.. that shit was a mess but oh well it made it that much easier to slide through..
If I were you I would atleast cover it with wire loom....may last for a year but who knows after that....Contrary to popular recommendation, mine IS run outside, and is tucked inside the frame rail. It is no more likely to be damaged than the brake lines its run with.
