0/1 ga. upgrade Will i hear a difference?

so still drops with the 1/0 big 3. Is your alt stock???

i didnt do the 1/0 yet. i think i mite have to drill a hole the 1/0 i have the kit tho.

umm yea upgrade the alt definately to an HO alt

My Friend used to run 2 12" Volfenhags ( I know, not the greatest) on a rockford p3002 (underpowered) and after changing his alt with a factory replacment and upgrading all his 8 awg to 4 awg we could hear the diffrence in SPL. I dont know if it will be the same for you but I just thought I would share.

Do the big 3 in 1/0!!!! then Run 1/0 to the amp and for grounds!! that will help, a whole lot less resistance to current to get more power to your amp. but in the end i think u will need a HO alt cause I'm pretty sure your alt is about 60 amps which wont cut it!!

With voltage drops that low I'm surprised you haven't killed the alt yet. You need to do something soon.

So you have 1/0 run from front battery to rear, stock alt, and big-3?

Sounds like you need a bigger alt.

im about to install the 1/0 in a few mins. the volts drop to 9.8 after a period of playin time, but not everyday. i did the big 3 in 4ga a while back b/c someone on here okayd it

i sent you a PM!!! yeah sometime 4ga is cool i prefer 1/0 just to be safe and make sure you fuse the wire between the ALT and BATT so your whole system right now is 4ga???

might as well redo in 1/0 especially if u want to up grade your systems power in the future!!!

Your alt prolly shuts off constantly and never charges the batts back fully

Try getting them on a charger at least twice a week...that should make a diff for a while

you could take out the cap.

and turn the music down man. 9.8v is very very bad. if i see my voltage drop to 11.5 i turn it down cause I'm paranoid like that but 9.8v??? i bet your batteries are probably weak in general. you should drive your car with the system off to charge your batts some for 10-15 minutes. then take both batteries out and let them sit(not wired to anything or each other) there for a few hours to a day. if your battery isn't sitting at 12-12.2v when you check back at them with a multimeter then one or both batteries are going bad.

oh i did not see that u had a cap too !!! man kill the cap its only 1farad anyway just a waste of space!!! But you should get your batt check also just redo the whole thing all around.
