if you go to the electrical section at your local lowes,home depot,menards, etc they have couplers there. they aren't as sexy but I'm willing to bet they are way cheaper. i bought a couple 2 gauge versions several years ago.

good old fashioned butt splice for 1/0 wire with a piece of heatshrink to cover it

You could use two ring terminals and bolt those together //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif just make sure you put enough insulation over the terminals. Its kind of ghetto but works well and is a lot cheaper.

You're going to have a problem if you search for them as 0/1.

It's 1/0, meaning 0 AWG. 4/0 means 0000 AWG. Get the pattern?
