Featured Concord C2050 2-1 Channel Amp Info

I have a Saturn Vue with a db11 monoblock running a 15" American Bass via LOC but have nothing for the front speakers. I was recently given a Concord c2050 100w amp that's from the 90s and noticed how small the + - rem wire connections are. Looks like there is a female Molex connector on it already but I'm not sure which gauge or size it is. I have been all through google and ChatGPT but can not find any type of information for it at all, yes I know it's old. My hope is that someone here will have some sort of information for it, an original manual would be ideal but I know it would be hard to come by. I'm also curious to know if I can run more than one LOC to power multiple amps.

looks like one of these:

that's just the housing and contacts. you need a crimper and wire to complete it.

up to 18 awg. 100 watt @ 12 volt is 8.3 A, which 18 awg can take no problem. Now, some old amps were very underrated (to help audio competitors stay in low watt limit classes before they started clamping the actual power), doubt this is one of them though. A lot of old amps were also overrated (like many today).

If you want more, I'm sure if you get the crimper for molex and the contacts for the connector you can jam a 16 or 14 awg in there. Probably won't do anything.

The remote wire can be 24 awg or even less. The tiniest connection between rem and gnd should turn it on, talking mA.

I'd say you be better off buying something like the wally world 2 channel Jensen over trying to get that concord rolling...just my opinion though

The amplifier is 2x50 watts at 4 ohms and 2x65 at 2 ohms. Any decent 16-148 gauge wire should be more than adequate, 16-14 for power if you can squeeze it in.

Something like these:

Find the right one, get creative, and wire up some 12-gauge copper wire for the +/- and use 16-18 for the remote and speakers.

Thank you

How did you get to the back of the factory head unit? I can not figure it out lol
I pulled the stock head unit and used a single din kit to put in an aftermarket. The kit was like $20

To get it out you have to pull that center piece out it's like 4 screws and a couple clips holding it in

It's also possible you could sell that 90's amp to a collector and buy a newer one that's better in every way with the money, one of the oldheads here would have to tell you about the value of it 😂
Honestly I made an account in hopes of finding an old school amp forum on here. lol I looked through them and didn't notice one but I also have extreme hyperactivity and tend to miss sh** 🤣 So does such a forum exist?

Np buddy. Honestly the biggest issue I had doing my saturn was the clearance in the doors in the factory speaker locations. Takes a low pro to wedge in there 🤣
I'm not even putting new speakers in. I'm just putting an amp in because my sub overpowers the speaker if I turn the base control down. And it's crazy because I feel like the sound system in the Saturn is better than the sound system I have in my 07 Lucerne, which has that Harmon Kardon system.

The stock speakers won't take power well 😂
