If you own a Nissan Frontier then you know there is VERY little room to deal with.

Balancing cone area, excursion, response, physical limitations, available power, and air space limitations...I settled on a single JL 12tw3-d8 1.3cf @ 30hz per JL specs.

Sub will be driven by the sub channel of a JL HD900/5, so 500rms. Rest of the system consists of Audiofrog GB10’s, GB25’s and GS690’s. HU is Alpine ilx-w650, processing is Dayton DSP-408.

Enjoy the pics...let me know what you think.

Thanks!

I wanted the overall look of the box to be almost ‘factory’. I wanted it to look like a single ‘molded’ box like what an OEM sub enclosure would look like. I rounded all corners and took a minimalist approach. I used an interior piece to find a matching color at Home Depot. After gluing the enclosure panels together I sealed all seams with fiberglass resin. I then covered the whole thing in Bondo and started sanding. After I was satisfied with the shape I hit it with a couple layers of sandable primer. Sanded a little more then just used a small roller to apply the paint. The roller and paint naturally creates a subtle textured surface.

I think it turned out quite well...sounds pretty damn good as well!
