When you wire a dvc sub with 2 4 ohm voice coils to 4 ohms will it still do its full rated ems? Or is it only putting one voice coil to use. I know this is a dumb question but I always understood it wrong I think

I never said it earlier in the thread if thats what you mean. And no, im not saying its not as loud as the 1700 watt amp alone, im saying that when i have the 1200 and the 500 hooked up together, and i unplug the rcas of the 500, the bass gets very noticeably louder

I have a 220amp alt and stock battery. It was powering 1700 watts just fine, then I took out the 1700, replaced with a 1200 and added a 500, making 1700 again. I dont understand

I had this same problem with my prime amp a few days ago. The RCA's needed to be grounded. I took some speaker wire and wrapped it around my front and rear RCA outputs on my HU and secured it underneath a screw on the hu. The whining sounds are now gone

There's a second amp listed with a total output of 1200 watts, which I plan on getting close to. Not just the 2k brutus.
