I know a lot of members on this forum have CDT speakers, even the CL series. My question is, what subs are you guys using and how much power are you sending to them. I currently am using the CL-61's with a PPI pcx-480. I have a polk EX10 II from my old car that i'm using off the back two...

Goto a different shop. There must be plenty of shops around in cali. Why are you so set on this one? And the stock infinity system dosn't come with components, i believe they are coaxes. Either way, there lower grade than the infinity's u can buy in the store.

If your tweeter protection circuit is being triggered, that means the speaker is getting a distorted signal. Dosnt' mean its too much power, just that the signal is distorted. If you want to listen to your speakers loud, get a bigger quality amp.

I have both these CDT tweeters. I prefer the titanium ones, the silk tweeters were smooth but lacked alot of detail.
