I think I may have stripped the inside threads of my red top. Is there any way to fix this and still have a good connection? I will add a washer tomorrow and see if taking some slack out helps, but if not I want to know what the best solution is. Thanks!

I have a set of Crossfire SX65 6.5" component speakers that I am thinking about putting in my work truck. They will be amped, but I cannot find any info on these. Has anyone heard them before? They look a little light duty, but I know sometimes looks can be deceiving with comps. Thanks!
