A bigger box than the standard one.. for the Vmax 12 ? Yeah I'd prefer not to loose any tight sound, if possible, but I want very good SQ, considering I'm running an Infinity right now, and it sounds alright.

So should I go with MAW 12's or MAW 15's ? Or for the price of MAW 15's go with Assassin 12's ? I know how to build the box, how to wire etc, but I haven't heard too many different subs, so that's one area where I'm uhmmm clueless

Is that 800W RMS or total power you're talking about ? The MAW 15's would require a much bigger amp to sound good huh ?

But the Vmax do require at least 600W RMS, correct ? So feeding one of them say 410-480W RMS wouldn't really do it huh ? What's up with Mach5Audio MAW-12, they can't take much power, right ?

Got one Profile 600MSX (300W RMS@4 ohm, 410W RMS@2 ohm). I've been running it at 2 ohm, feeding into an Infinity 10 inch. Going to get another amp just like it, but not sure what subs to use. I'd like to use 2 10's or 12's. I was looking at the Assassin's, however the website's sale department...

CBFryman2, what did you mean by a "better enclosure" ? Bigger sealed box, or did you mean a ported one ?

Yeah I was just going to feed two Assassin's at 2 ohm, so that should work. The amp DOES have a subsonic filter, correct ? My Profile amp lacks that feature, which is why I've been hesitating building a ported box.

Two 8's that loud ? Well I've heard a Fosgate 8 pound pretty good in the new Mustangs so hmmmm What are you tuning them to ? 40 ?
