Well in the 1st my engine seized up in the car so I have to shell out $8,000 to replace it so my audio system is in a very long hold. I may end up selling my new equipment in the future since I have a few extra bills now.

So now what would be involved in a trunk wall? Would it be as simple as turn the box around and cut some wood to seal it off from the rest of the trunk so the sub and port fired into the cabin?

So I'm assuming cabin gain having a trunk car is what is causing my terrible peaks and loss of lows? How do I start to overcome it

On a side note there is a 6db loss from 41hz to 30hz. I was hoping for a flatter response but when I built the box I didn't use any software to calculate a proper response curve so I'm guessing my box is the problem there as this is supposed to be a low end oriented woofer.

Without the speaker attached I was reading 14.3 into the amp and 46-47v of output

Deadening the car will be a big thing I'll need to start doing, I hear nothing but rattling above 38hz when I turn it up at all. With raising tuning will the sub still be able to hit low at 30hz? There's a few songs I like that hit that low and slightly lower. Main goal is daily listening and...

I figured something must be wrong somewhere. I know it's not an efficient woofer by any means but I thought I should be able to hit 140 since I see people hitting 146 with a more efficient single 12" sub. I'll hook up an extra battery and play around with some settings to see if I can get a...

So being new to this whole car audio thing I got my system somewhat setup and decided to see what kind of numbers my car would put out. I have a 2013 Hyundia Sonata 2.0t so it's a trunk build. I'm running an SQ2200.1 amp with an LC2i to provide signal from my stock navi HU. I have a single 1/0...

    12" SP4 finally arrived

That is a main part of the reason I went with this sub instead of an SSA or other nicer sub. Top contenders I considered were a zcon, an xcon, a mayhem, a Zv4, or a Fi Q when finalizing my purchase choices. Ended up wanting the new SP4 sub even though it will be less efficient than a 3" voice...

    12" SP4 finally arrived

Finally received my 12" SP4 subwoofer! Just now getting into car audio and after some research this is the sub I ended up deciding to go along with my SQ2200 amp. Being new to car audio I have nothing to compare it to but it feels and looks like a very solid well built subwoofer. I'm excited to...

    LC2i and an SQ2200 help

I'll have to give audio control a call later today. I'm trying to figure out if it's better to have the lc2i putting out a higher signal or if I should turn it down and have the amp gain up slightly higher to compensate. I hate having two pieces of equipment that both control a similar thing...

    LC2i and an SQ2200 help

I have an LC2i and an SQ2200.1 I am hooking up and I need some help setting the gain and lc2i up properly. The lc2i can give up to 8v to the rca's and the amp is rated for 5v according to the gain adjustment. In reading through the instructions and from what I've read online I'm to adjust the...

    Amp placement and wire routing

I quickly hooked up the amp and lc2 to the back of the box to see how it will look and how much room I will have around it with the seats up. Everything seems to look and fit great so next step will be to do the full cleaner install and try to find some rubber or other vibration damper to go...
