I just bought a truck with an Alpine unit that has Apple carplay without cd disc player. There is no model written on the head unit trimming or in the setting. How do I find out the model (short of pulling it out and looking in the back)? Alpine support is closed now. Thanks for reading. TT

I just paid $400 for the set from authorized dealer. In the back, there seems to be an oversprayed or glued. Let me know what you guys think.

I will be installing a single amp (JL XD500/3). Besides having a fuse holder near the the battery of the car, do I need another fuse holder near the amp? Amp will be located near the back of the truck. I don't think the amp has a built in fuse. I am running a 4 gauge wire. Thanks, Tntrac

Guys, I got a quote of $120 (including shipping back) for a flat fix from JL to fix the amp. From what I heard, the whole board is being replaced. Warranty is 90 days. Is it worth fixing? Shipping to Florida from LA probably cost $15. It is a v1. One channel is not working with low ohm lid up...

It is a sealed box (just one sub) with a lj 250/1. I am trying to get an idea cause I am in the process of doing a fiberglass box with curves so the calculator is a little hard to tell. I just want the gross volume so I can pour water in the fiberglass box to get an idea. Tnt

Would 4 gauge power wire be fine for 2 amps (jl 250/1 & 300/2)? JL recommneds 2 or 0 gauge with 2 amps. These are the v1 slash series. I don't hear my music too loud Its for a honda s2000 so the run is short. Tnt
