Finding model of Alpine unit

I just bought a truck with an Alpine unit that has Apple carplay without cd disc player. There is no model written on the head unit trimming or in the setting. How do I find out the model (short of pulling it out and looking in the back)? Alpine support is closed now.

Yep, pretty sure that's the only Apple play deck that Alpine made.....

Sounds right. The previous owner said he bought the headunit for $700 and had the truck for 2+ years. Seems like any model I search with alpine returns the model you guys stated. Right now its priced at ~500+.

From what I read, it has an GPS internal antenna. I am guessing it wouldn't use any data on the phone when using the map from the phone.

Dilemma, do I keep this unit but I don't have an iPhone LOL (just got an HTC 10 about 6 months ago) or swap my old unit in which is an Avic 940bt?

No matter what I do, I have to pull it out and put a backup camera. Already bought some cables (planning to rewire the sloppy cabling) and merge two amps into one.
