The sub is real loud and clean. I think it has a real nice musical sound to it. It is in a 4 cube ported box tuned to 30 Hz. Sounds great IMO.

You have to make sure the XM is the first device in the AiNet chain. For example if you have any other device such as an IPOD Adapter or CD Changer it will have to be plugged into the XM Receiver then the XM Receiver gets plugged directly into the 9853. HU Hope this helps.

I have them in the doors mounted on 2 - 3/4" MDF rings (IB). With some sound deadener on the inner panel of the door. Doors are sealed up pretty good from factory, there are no holes on the inner panel('05 Altima). Amp specs are 137wrms @ 2ohms @ 14.4V. Maybe need more power? The output is OK...

Is there a way to successfully install 4 midbass drivers (2 each door) for the front stage? Or would it be much better to use a single larger driver for each door? I am aware of some of the pitfalls with multiple drivers playing the same frequencies, etc. Are there ways to overcome this? How...

I have an Alpine 9835 now and I want to add the H701 and controller. My question is, right now i use the 9835 in 3way mode (high,mid,low) with no rear speakers, just horns and mids up front with subs in trunk. Does the h701 allow me to keep this configuration? Thanks for the help.

I just installed new horns in my car and now I want to upgrade my subs? I have 2 12" JL w1v2 subs running on an Alpine 301(350 wrms at 14volts) now. They are in a ported box @32. I don't really have any way to compare subs by listening to them. I was thinking of either going with either a 1 15"...

I think sealed has a better sound. Just in this application it improved the overall sound of the system. I have RE xxx6.5s up front with 140 wrms going to them. The subs have 150 wrms. The subs being in the trunk just didn't have the "punch" to keep up with the xxx's. So I took out the rear...

Thanks It is 4ft^3@37 Hz. Leaned a little towards SPL. These subs are "only" 150wrms each. I am going to carpet it, just want to make sure everything cool first. Might tune it a little lower. Haven't glued it up yet. It is easy to take one of the sides off and lengthen the port a little.

After reading and learning from alot of people on this site... I built a ported box designed in WinISD and took out my JL Audio W1v2's out of the sealed box they came in and installed them in the ported box. What a difference in SPL and SQ. :veryhapp: Great information here.
