i have 8 kicker compd subs i'm trying to put in a 1992 suburban. i need some help trying to come up with an idea for a box that will fit the 18's. i have 46 qubic feet to work with. 46.5" wide and 31.5" tall and 54.5" deep. all those measurements are taking in cosideration for 3/4 inch MDF.
I currently have 2 kicker sx1250.1 and a mmats 3500.5. I have the ohm load for both but was wondering which would be a better amp for subs. Either both the sx1250.1 on kicker comp r 15's or the mmats on all 4.
Square root of rms power x impedance. Your problem is probably that you don't know the true rms power of your boss amp. I'm not trying to knock boss but there are way better amps out there for the price of what you paid for it.
Dodge has a couple of wiring harnesses it uses in their vehicles that can fit into other cars ( amplified and non amplified ). Both being pinned different. It is possible they sent you the wrong harness. If I'm not mistaken dodge has 4 or 5 harnesses of that year that look exactly the same but...
Too small speaker wire starves your subs of signal. Think of it like trying to drink a milkshake with a coffee straw. Too big of wire would be like trying to drink a glass of water with a garden hose.
I absolutely love my pioneer double din. If you have an iPhone or certain android phones pioneer has advance app radio which adds all kinds of cool features. And as far as being able to navigate they are soooo much easier than a single din and easier to read.
