    Will it hold together?

Running 2.5kw @ 4ohms will only be able to be done off some of the bigger amps such as the Sundown NS-1 and the DC 9k. I'd highly suggest something that does 2k-3k watts @ 1 ohm. Sundowns SVC line is pretty good. They have the SVC-2000D and the SVC-3000D. You could also try picking up one of...

    Will it hold together?

You must have some rise then. No way youre running 2500w rms full tilt off a 135 amp alternator + car functions with little to no drop, unless you have an extra battery or two.

Hmm really didn't expect headlight dimming already...

Some vehicles lights dim at even a very small difference in voltage (+ or - 0.25 - 0.50v). In my truck my stock alternator charged at 14.3 - 14.4 and the lights would dim by 13.5v - 13.7v. Got my new alternator in (Mechman 250a elite series). It charges at 15.0v and even running full tilt i...

    alternators

Get a voltage meter and wire it in with your amp. I just ordered the stinger one off ebay. It works good and is accurate usually within 1/10 of a volt. I wanted one of those smd vm1 ones but $80 for a volt meter is complete horse ****. They do look nice though lol.

    alternators

180A stock alt is pretty high, although that means the car probably requires a good portion of it. I say get your batteries and install done and see how it does, if you're getting wicked voltage drops then maybe consider an alternator.

    3500-4000 Watt RMS Sub Help?!

Wait for the Sundown Team 18 subwoofer. Although not sure 4000w is enough to move it. I think that speaker would be epic to own. If not try for the Nightshade.

Sundown has the BEST Customer Service. I couldn't be more pleased!

So my small story starts with the ordering of an X12 speaker. I ordered it through SSA Audio and they also have outstanding c/s. Anyways I placed my order on August 10th and right after the speaker was shipped out I found an excellent Saz 2000d for the great price of $350 shipped. I then wanted...

    Hello Subwoofer idea help budget

You come here asking for advice but won't take any of it. Even the most common basic tips such as DO NOT MIX SUBWOOFERS. Honestly an Sa 12 in a 1.7-2.0 cu ft box @ 32-35hz on 600-1000w would probably do the trick...

    How is port length calculated?

So I calculated my port length down the center line of the port and get 37 inches so you're saying my actual length is 38 3/8

    How is port length calculated?

Could you elaborate a bit more? Do you mean if my port is 2.75 wide it automatically adds another 1 3/8 to my port length? So in torres if I have 37 on port length, my actual "effective" port length is 38 3/8?

    How is port length calculated?

Oh **** totally forgot to put the most important part in. Lmao. Anyways. The top baffle is 18 inches (shown by the "Width" below) which will have the port and woofer across it. I plan on flush mounting the woofer, so the top layer of the baffle will have a cut out to 12.68 (Outer diameter of...

    How is port length calculated?

Finally got my two box options done with the help of Joe X. The first box is his design and the second just that same box with some small changes I made. The box is going in the rear of my 2000 f150 extended cab truck with the sub/port both firing up. The Zv4 will be running off my SAZ-2000D...

    How is port length calculated?

Is it calculated down the center line of the port? If that's correct my port below would be 34.5 inches long? (24 3/8 + 10 1/8)
