    Under-seat Sub Options...

If you liked the kappa perfect then you definitely don't want that Pioneer. They may not get a ton of love here (the majority here are more spl oriented), but those subs sound fantastic and extend low for a small woofer in a sealed alignment. Not sure what your budget or current goals are, but...

JL Audio 10W3v3-2 with Alpine MRV-M500

As someone who's owned a 12w3v3 and an ev3 12, I miss the JL waaayyy more. The sundown is definitely a bit louder but the difference in sound quality is huge. I never tried it sealed, but in a well built enclosure tuned to 32 I was very unimpressed with the e12s sq.

    Soundqubed HD'S 12

I've had a single hds210 for a few months now, and if I had to do it again I'd choose differently. It's pretty loud, but the sound quality just isn't there. It's not very flat at all and rolls off hard at about 60hz (most people in the market for a budget sub don't have an incredibly strong...

$75 budget. Anything better than CDT refurbished?

Finally going to get around to a basic install in my 2012 Focus. I'll be on a fairly strict budget. Here's what I'm planning thus far... HU:Sony MEX-N5100BT CD receiver at Crutchfield.com or Kenwood Excelon KDC-X300 CD receiver at Crutchfield.com Front stage:Shop CDT Audio - COX-622 or...

Anything as good as JL 10w6 for SQ but less expensive?

Not that they're any cheaper new, but I've seen some JBL GTI's on eBay for a steal lately. Great sounding subs.

    12in sealed in box 400-500w

If you can find a good deal on one, a W3V3 would be nice. They're not worth retail, but I had a pair sealed that got plenty loud and sounded really good.

Cheap component set or piece one together via Parts Express?

Better bang for the buck? Would I be better off doing some budget comps (TS-D1720, JBL GTO, Crescendo, or Cadence) or piecing one together using some Dayton classic or Goldwood mids using an old school Infinity Reference or Alpine type s tweet and x-over? Either set up would be getting a clean...

Any box builders in Richmond VA

I don't know if there are any good ones up in Richmond, but none of the ones down here at Fort Lee know which end is up. I'm trying to get one built for a SA 10 that I'm about to order.

Any box builders in Richmond VA

I was just about to make the same thread. Let me know if you find anything.

Is the 12w6v2 good for rock/metal music?

I used to have one of the entry ID 15's. That thing absolutely LOVED 2.8 cubes at 28hz. I love ID subs, but I stand by my word in saying that I wouldn't blink before picking up a w6v2 (only if it was a good deal, no way I would pay retail for it).

Is the 12w6v2 good for rock/metal music?

The w6v2 is pretty **** good sq woofer. They're really pricey, but they **** sure don't sound bad. I'd jump all over one if I could find a good deal, but with that said, you could get an idqv3 for about half the price that will have slightly better sq and similar output.

    What has better sound quality?

Electrocardiograph is abbreviated EKG or ECG. Either is acceptable.

    My 12'' hdc3 sealed? or go with 2 10's or 2 12's sealed?

Yes, but they are a fairly deep woofer.

    What has better sound quality?

I've heard that the flatlynes response curve looks like a dead persons ecg.

Memphis MR over MTX TT series?

Is the PR line under 5" mounting depth? I used to have a pair of the tens. Very solid budget subs with a 3 year warranty.
