Ok then lol. Don't know much about electrical. Well I guess I'm goin with a deep cycle up front and a 270a alt. Just makin sure this is goin to be able to live up to 1500 rms load and a comp amp later?

So if I were to upgrade to a hc1200 or a yellowtop that firs under the hood, I would be fine with my current setup and can even add a comp amp (which are my plans)? I figured even if the battery were smaller, the 270 amp alt wouldn't let my battery die.

****. My budget is really only for one battery. It makes sense though. If I were to get another battery it would be a 2400. Or could I keep my interstate up front and have a 2400 in the trunk?

I have been told to use 12 gauge for my setup which will be each sub getting around 750 rms. My local shop was out of 12 gauge but did have 14 gauge. Could I twist the 14 gauge together and it be just as good? Or could 14 gauge be enough? The whole system will pull 1500 rms between 2 subs...

I just purchased a used Fusion NV AM2500 amp because its supposed to be around 1500 rms at 2 ohms but the power and ground wire inputs are for 4 gauge wire. I am going to use 1/0 but im confused why its 4 gauge. Also will buying 2 4gauge to 1/0 power wire reducers work? Like these Sound Quest...

After looking again, I removed the plastic housing around it which brittles away and the wire is stiff stiff and has a charred look.

1/0 gauge wire. Yea the connection is tight, I checked it. The wire from batt to fuse is probably a foot or maybe a bit more and from the alt to fuse is less than a foot. Dont know if this would affect anything. The fuse holder is by the fuse box.

What do you mean by insulate them? Under my hood I have a 0 gauge wire connected to 2 8 guage wires by using a metal connector that has 2 screws on the top to hold down the wire. And I have electrical tape wrapped around it.

One port will be releasing air towards the side of the other box that is 6 inches away, and the other port will be doing the same against the other box. I can stagger them a bit so they dont fire air in the same place. Make sense?
