You'll gain a LOT going from a pair of w1's to a w6 though. The difference between a w1 and a w3 is pretty significant, let alone 1 to 6. I'm also fairly sure that the w3 is the lowest level of JLs that are still made on US soil, the 1 and 0 lines being shipped off overseas.

Actually, amusingly enough, Kicker had a similar RE thing happen. I talk a lot of crap on my old L7 but it actually wasn't THAT bad. It didn't sound good but for listening to Lil Jon and stuff it did fine. Back pre-2005 Kicker seemed to have a decent reputation for bang-for-the-buck street...

Ffffffffff if I wouldn't need to replace my whole electrical system... Guys I heard one of these in 2004 and to this day it's been my dream subwoofer. If it's true that post-2005 the quality dropped, y'all are looking at one of the holy grails.
