dont call me dumb but is 6v preamp or 4 v preamp better, or does it matter?

whats the difference between these two players? The only thing I can see is the looks.... the premier has lighter metal and it says premier on the top of the player and the pioneer just says pioneer. Im sort of confused can someone help me out because I want one of these two players for my car.

The adire tempest is 150.00 The adire maelstrom is 300.00 I was wondering if I should get one maelstrom or one tempest or even two tempests..... I would like to know how many dbs each one can achieve. I read with 500 watts a maelstrom can push out 148 dbs! So how many dbs will a tempest put...

rereading the information........ made me more ****ing confused! for the maelstrom it says pmax 550 to each voice coil..... so im assuming its a dual voice coil speaker so it would be 1100 watts rms i would be needing to put in to it.... which in theory makes the maelstrom better than the kicker...
