The new Reference series won't be released in the U.S untill Jan '07

I contacted Soundstream directly 2 weeks ago and the contact said these won't be available for 6 weeks. I just talked to one of their biggest distributors and he confirmed that it won't be for another 4 weeks or so. My guess is that any site advertising these is just trying to get pre-orders...

I have been looking around for the new Reference series amps and found them on onlinestereo.com (not an authorized SS reseller). SonixElectronix which is authorized hasn't replied yet. Anyone know where to get these now? Since these are version 2 (?) of the Reference series I'd feel better...

If you can find them look for Nakamichi NRS-650. These are 2 way components that are rated at 100rms and come with silver cones and chromed baskets (rare). I bought 2 pair on ebay a couple years ago for $130/pr. great SQ. The Nak sp series only goes to 90 rms.
