I just came from a Kenwood X995. On the Kenwoord, the SW output settings are -15 to +15. Is there any reason why Pioneer is -24 to +6? Are these just numbers? They both equal to 30 total adjustments. Does this mean -9 on the Pioneer, is equal to 0 on the Kenwood? The reason I ask is, SW...

I was about to pull the trigger on those Focal amps yesterday, but the subsonic filter is fixed at 35hz, I need 25hz or below/variable. That Cadence amp you link is covered in rust, and I can't seem to find that model anywhere else. Is there another you can recommend?

I'm also looking for an SQ amp for my sub. Are Hifonics good? The prices seem really good.

As far as sound quality, what's better than an Alpine MRP-M500 around $150? I need one with an SSF of 25hz or lower/variable. If there's one with a noticeable difference in SQ at $200, I'm willing to pay extra. Edit: 400-500W RMS

If there are hip-hop songs that hit below 35hz, I'm pretty sure it won't be 90% of the time, more like around 25%. Anyway back to the question, how would an amp with a SSF set to 35hz sound with a ported box tuned to 28hz and with hip-hop songs that play 30hz?

Why are most places and people saying that a sealed box is best for sound quality? Also the specs on my sub is rated 200-400 watt RMS, is 350W affecting my sound quality? Again, I'm all about SQ, loudness doesn't matter to me.

I have a ID10D4 V3 in a sealed box connected to a MRP-M350. Could replacing the amp improve sound quality? I'm not having any SQ issues, but if simply replacing the amp could give noticeably better SQ, why not.
