    Bass Focus?

I'm using a Cadence ZRS 7000D to power my two JL 12W3v3s and have a few questions about my settings. On the amp I have a bass boost, bass focus, high pass and subsonic filter and of course my gain setting. My first question is what the hell is the bass focus do exactly and how stable is it to...

    New amp, subs barely move

That was how I had it wired in the first place, Left sub terminals matching to left amp terminals and same for the right. Isn't that wiring them to a 4 ohm load though? I'm looking for 1 ohm.

    New amp, subs barely move

Assuming you're saying wire the ZRS down to 1 ohm? My only question with that is how, even though it's a monoblock, there's two pos and neg posts. I understand that I go from LSub+ to RSub+ to Amp+ and LSub- to RSub- to Amp- but do I put them to the same side terminals or from the left side -...

    New amp, subs barely move

My HU is a Kewood Excelon KDC-X494, and it's only got one setting as far as that goes. I've tries adjusting all of the settings on the amp, gain, filters etc.. and while this made a slight difference, it was still nothing like it should be.

    New amp, subs barely move

I think the ZRS is without a doubt a better amp but with my ipedance my subs only get 250 rms each (theoretically). If I wre to wire the ZRS down to 1ohm then I would be putting too much power to the subs. The TXA allows me to wire down to 1 ohm and put 500 rms to each (theoretically). I...

    New amp, subs barely move

The other amp was a Cadence ZRS 7000D. The new amp is a Cadence TXA 1000D (new conditon). I've tried using it both with and without the bass knob, no difference. Everything worked fine with the old amp minutes before putting the new one in. At this point I'm le to believe it's a bum amp...

    New amp, subs barely move

Playing with my HU settings helped make it a bit louder but its not a fix. My old amp was putting 250RMS to each sub @ 4ohm load and was a thousand times louder. Now the bass from the subs is almost nonexistant.

    New amp, subs barely move

The subs are both 2 ohm SVC subs, each meant to run at 500 rms. The new amp puts 1000 rms @ 1ohm, 650 rms @ 2ohm and 350 rms @ 4 ohm

    New amp, subs barely move

The subs worked fine with my amp that i took out minutes before putting the new one in. I have the wiring set up like so: L sub + -> R sub + -> Amp + L sub - -> R sub - -> Amp - Tried wiring both pos to the amp and both neg to the Amp as well. I also tried playing with all of...

    New amp, subs barely move

Individually they both hit the same, hardly at all. Dont have a dmm. Thanks so far at least

    New amp, subs barely move

Rated rms of the amp at 2ohm is higher than max rms of the sub, how safe is it to test that?

Tried reversing my wiring and even the rca's, also played with the phase shift switch

    New amp, subs barely move

Just installed my new Cadence TXA1000D monoblock amp to my two JL 12w3v3s. Went from pushing 500 rms x1 @ 4 ohm to 1000 rms x1 @ 1 ohm. I was expecting to see my subs move a lot more than they did but the opposite is true. I know the wiring is right and have played with the gains and my HU...
