I don't see any reset button on the faceplate... and I've had a pretty rough time finding documentation about the HU (I can't remember where the box is for it either... I've moved since I originally installed it).

I blew the driver's side comp.. no clue how.. I've never jacked the volume high.. but it's pissing me off, so I might as well replace it eh? I'd like it if I could get some components that will still work w/the crossovers so I don't have to take my door off to install new ones... Looking for...

Looked all over the place... there's gotta be some sequence of buttons or something to get it back, but basically I had my battery changed and now the screen in blank. knobs still light up blue, and I can still control everything, but I can't see anything (good thing I remembered the sequence...

Hmm.. that's odd.. and I guess it might be the ground... I do hear a bit of amp whine... I think I'll try making the ground contact cleaner.

turning the volume down stops the popping.. but I figured if I was reaching the limit of the speaker itself, then both speakers would be popping.

When I examine the speaker, what types of things should I look for? Thank you for your input

Ok.. This is the full story: Bought the components in my sig about a year ago. Finally got around to installing everything in june. Worked for 2 months, and then my driver's side 60.7cs started this thing where it would rattle uncontrollably if the volume was up at all... and got so bad that...

Wasn't the speaker or the crossover.. it was the battery. Replaced it w/an optima red top and I'm good to go. However, I do believe some damage was sustained, because at very high volumes, the speaker in question still craps out ion the same way, though not continuous

If his HU was going out, wouldn't that affect all of his channels... or just one? I don't understand why it would only be the front end...

He said he checked all of the wiring again and it is correct, and subbed one of his friends pioneers in, which had never been installed (he just got them in and didn't have time to install them yet). Both his speaker and his friend's were weak sounding.

I thought that this (and phasing) created a harsh noise, not a quieter sound..

A friend recently replaced his speakers with the exact same model (stock for his car) and he says they no longer bump with any bass at all... This was an occurrance that happened sometime *after* they were installed.. He says they sound "weaker" EDIT: same setup... everything.. just replacing...
