Hello everybody,
Recently got my 2005 civic back from the mechanic after getting the timing belt and water pump changed. To my lovely surprise, when I got into the car for the first time after it getting out of the shop, the head unit would not turn on (Sony MEX-B100BT) (disclaimer: I was not...
Sony MEX-XB100BT
hp/lp filters, 3 pre outs 5V, sub out, 10 band eq, all the bells and whistles, I personally think its an amazing deck for my uses. the deck is CEA 2006 compliant so the 40W rms by 4 channels is 100% true
so nobody has still answered the question of whether or not I will be alright if I buy those speakers lol. Im not looking for anything crazy, just something better than my stock speakers, hence why I bought a head unit that put out enough power so that I wouldnt have to go through the hassle of...
I have a Sony Deck that puts out 100W peak (40W RMS) by 4 channels. Would I be okay to buy these speakers (Infinity Reference by Harman 6.5" Coaxial Car Speaker (REF-6502ix) : 6.5" Speakers - Best Buy Canada) for my front speakers and not worry about blowing them?
Would you guys recommend spending extra money on a head unit that can power 4 channels at 40-50W RMS to save the cost of buying a separate 4-5 channel amplifier? I would only be looking to be average or slightly below average interior speakers into my car. Here is the head unit I was looking at...
Need a box for my 12" type R and was hoping I could get lucky with a prefab box. Found this: https://www.atrendusa.com/alpine-12-single-slot-vented

Heres a link to the specifications by alpine...
Which amp would you guys reccommend as the best choice to power an Alpine Type R 12" 4 ohms, 1000w RMS, DVC

Yeah so I went to my local car audio shop, guy only had pioneer decks *sigh* and tried to sell me some subwoofer and amp kit that was on sale but was some complete random brand, so I didnt stay there too long. The only thing that caught my eye was a JBL 700rms 12" sub that was normally 800 on...

I based what I was looking at off of this diagram and considering the amp would be running on a 2ohm impedance therefor being able to power the subwoofer properly. is this diagram correct or...
Im relatively new to car audio, and im looking to put together my first system. I have done A LOT of reading (more than you would think) and I think I have put together a decent entry level system. I have not bought it yet, as I am not sure if it is all going to function together, plus im not...
