I have an audio control d5.1300 amp (onboard dsp), that needs to power a sub to go in the hatch of a subaru crosstrek. The amps sub channel is rated at 300w @4ohm and 500w@2ohm. I currently have a cheapo skar 8" sub in a .7 cuft sealed enclosure and to my ear this sub puts out enough "sound"...

But not just crossovers, wouldn’t a parametric eq at least be able to help dial in the sound a bit better for the unique attributes of the car/speaker environment?

Theres alot of coax hate...which on the surface, admittedly, is justified. However, im curious, is it possible to design a high SQ coax system? Has anyone mastered a 5 channel 4 door coax (with sub) system? Can you buy your way into good sound with expensive coax product and a solid dsp?

Somebody recommend to me a good woofer and amp for under 2k, that will likely sit in a sealed box in the back of subaru crosstrek hatchback. Looking for SQ, and something that plays well into the low 100s hz (maybe even crossed over at 100 or so). Thoughts?

Space is a consideration for me. Can i place an LC7i on top of my amp, both under the seat. They will fit, but will the stacking pose an issue in sq, distortion, etc?
