    Housing comps?

There truely is no correct way to mount your components. You can and will search and find information saying one place is better then the other and then another search will negate that and say how a different place is more ideal. Yes you want to keep the tweeter close to the mid. However some...

    eclipse cd players

I have heard amazing things about the newer Eclipse HU. Its not that attractive but its great and supposedly would take crashing into a Mack truck to skip. Kenwood Excelon are good too.

    tweet mounting.

Placement of tweeters is totally preferential. I cant tell you how many times I have asked the same question and it seems there are different "professional" answers all the time. Best bet would be get hook up your drivers, get some tape and place the tweeters in different positions so you can...

RCA Cables, all the different types !!! Is there any real difference??

Good man use those Circuit City punks for all their worth! (but big up to my Circuit City boys, none-the-less) The gauge of the wiring is the most important thing you can buy. As for higher end stuff until someone tells me that a Monster Cable copper wire is that much different then some Home...

whay dosen't anyone ever answer this?

Totally agree with SAVAGE. Placing the tweeters at several different angles to see which way sounds best is the best way to mount tweeters. If you have looked around no one seems to know where to place them or what direction. I have heard facing the windsheild, mounted in the door frames, in...

    Speaker comparison

Trust me go with the Infinitys. By far a higher product (durability/material/sound) then both the Polk and Kenwood. That is hard to say too, since I have been (and kinda still am) a diehard Kenwood man.

    Disk changer issues

Installing an aftermarket changer into a vehicle with a factory head unit is possible. However most changers nowadays come with disc naming a cool gadget like that. SO if you are interested in that stuff then you might want to look into a new HU. The ideas of Kenwood, Alpine and Eclipse are all...

    Disk changer issues

Unfortunately its not worth fixing. I had the same problem with my old Kenwood changer. It has something to do with the magazine intake. If I remember correctly I was quoted a little over one hundred dollars to fix it. With changers so cheap and so much better then back then I would just by a...

    Civic w/MBQUARTS

There is one other option which I did and worked out great. Get one of those high powered hairdryer looking devices. I believe its the same ones that the window tinting places use. Now melt the plastic behind the speaker. When it cools a little place the speaker firmly inside the door. Now you...

    RCA wire

I agree with both gentlemen. The engine noise, or feedback, you would be hearing sounds like a whistling. If you dont hear anything then dont sweat it. There is no need to really re-wire a system either, unless you are getting better wire or its really, really old.

Can this be made more sturdy?

I am about to redo my system and I am trying to place my CD Changer in my glovebox. It fits, but I want it to be secure and not skip. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks for the help.
