    The PRS is 5 volt. When you measure it though you will almost never see anywhere near the voltage that the HU is rated for.     880prs pre out issue

    The 5800 series is the lower line of Pioneer, if you owned something higher end from them I wonder if the same result would have occurred. I have owned them all, and currently run a Kenwood but have a 88prs stored away as it's one of the most versatile active decks you can get.

    There's three in the 880/800 I believe. You can drop solder or solder in a strand of wire, but it's not the easiest thing since the fuses are about as thick as two hairs.
