I have the class d sony and it has alot of power so if people say sony amps **** they don't know ****.I will admit Sony might not be tha best but for tha money they hold there own.

3 db's is gained by doubling your power not the volume.

I seen a 300w rms eclipse 10" hit 143.9 db's in a 2 cu ft ported box and the sub inverted.He was using 425w rms for power.

6.1db's to be exact,so that whould meen if you have a better sub and triple the power it would give you 150db's.

The jbl gts180 is 60wx2 rms @4 ohms witch is perfect for mids and tweets down the road.If you get a rf the punch 250 is the one with 60wx2 rms @4 ohms.The jbl wins hands down for the price man.Good luck.

Subs are crossed over at about 80-120 htz.

Out of all you listed the type s sub is your best bang for your buck.

I would say get the jbl because its a great older amp at a great price and after you get more money to upgrade the 90x2 can be used to power mids and tweets.The rf's are not bad little amps but are to weak for mids and tweets.Always think of the future and not wasting unnecesary money down the road.
