I just went ahead and replaced the AudioControl 2xs for a new one so I can continue using the Alpine headunit that I have. I won't be able to use the fader feature, but the 300/4 is so that less power goes to the rear speakers so that they won't take away from the front soundstage.

Through web searches, I found that JL Audio is problematic when it comes to hearing static noises in one speaker versus the other. I am going to open the amp up and take a look at it and hope it's an easy fix.

I have a JL Audio 300/4 amp and wanted to know if I can bridge the amp to run the front speakers (Alpine Type R 6.5 components) and use the built in head unit's power to push the rear speakers. I have a separate mono amp for the subwoofer.

What about using speaker brackets for them? I am just saying they could mount towards the center of the bracket, then the outer part may be easier connected to a metal part under the seat. My concern is that there is a lot of foam under the seat. Would that absorb most of the vibrations?

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice for mounting these things. They mount under the seat, but the holes don't line up with any kind of metal under it. I would have to make a bracket or utilized one that is for something entirely different. What about speaker brackets that are...
