has anyone worked on a 95 Jaguar?

Thanks, I appreciate the help. My main concern was where the crossovers were. If the input is low level, it would be even nicer.

has anyone worked on a 95 Jaguar?

No, a common ground just consits of all speaker wires sharing the same ground point. It won't damage your HU, but you will have to rewire the speakers to get them to work. I am refering to the old positive ground systems. Cars today use a negative ground. Alot of the older foreign...

has anyone worked on a 95 Jaguar?

My mother in law has a 95 Jaguar XJS v12. She likes the Eclipse AVN7000, and would like to place a navigaiton unit in the car. I know that it has a Harmond Kardon amp, to power the speakers and subwoofers. What I haven't been able to find is any information on the HU. At eleven...

    H.U. static, not alt. whine.

It doesn't sound like a ground issue. Do you have a factory amp. If so, it may be a input sensitivity issue. Facotry amps tend to use the OEM HU to dictate the amps gain. This is a big factor if the OEM HU changed the volume at driving ratios. When you remove the factory HU...

Ugh, back into the same dilemma as b4...

Did you check the serial numbers of the HU's? This should tell you if the same deck is being returned to you. If you speculate the dealer is not being honest, then check there receipts. They will have the serial number posted for the waranty. Most likely you have one of two...

Eclipse AVN6600.... Is it worth the wait???

The 6600 has a few more features that make it worth looking into. It incorporates two dvd drives versus one dvd and one cd. The 6600 has a better dsp allowing 7 bands of PEQ's with crossovers. The 5500 has no crossovers and only Graphic EQ's. The 6600 will have full ipod control...

Eclipse 7000... Anyone Have It Yet..? How Do You Like It..?

Desertheat, If the cd7000 is like the 8455 , then you set crossover points at any frequency you like. On the deck, it has limited ranges. When you log into eiserve any channel can be set to any frequency range above 20 htz.

Looking for a Denon DCT A1 or Z1.

Can you send some pics of the HU and how much you are asking for. My real interest is in the Denon 24 bit dac for its incredibly high SNR. Unfortunately, they tend to be hard to find. My email is mikegett@msn.com Thanks for the response, Mike Gettinger.

    Eclipse SW8200

Have you heard from Eclipse as to what size and type of enclosure the 8200 and 8000 require? I have tried to find some information about the LMT motors but have yet to find anything. What is the primary benefit of this design? Thanks, Mike Gettinger

Got my Eclipse iPod adapter working with my CD8455...

I just sold my 8455, but I noticed that e-iserve has a firmware update posted. You may try it and see if it has to do with ipod control. Unfortunately, it doesn't say what it does.
