    question about possible wiring

I had a Kenwood KOS-A300 aux factory radio upgrade equipment in our 2007 Honda Odyssey. We recently sold the vehicle, but I uninstalled this KOS-A300 before handing the van off. I am planning to now install it in another vehicle that has a JVC aftermarket radio (that I installed a few yrs ago)...

trying to figure out which fuses to tap into

OK, I may be able to do this, but I just thought of something else that may actually work better. I installed a Pioneer radio in this truck years ago. Did it all myself so can easily take out the head unit. Was then thinking maybe I could just tap into the current red and yellow wires that are...

trying to figure out which fuses to tap into

there is no "harness" available as its an auxilary add-on component. Plugs into an AUX port on the car stereo. Here is what I am referring to: KENWOOD KOS-A300 It still needs some sort of power via its own yellow and red cables

trying to figure out which fuses to tap into

I have a Kenwood KOS-A300 Factory Radio Upgrade System. It used to be in a Honda Odyssey and worked great. Sold the vehicle, but pulled this Kenwood system out before I sold it. It has red and yellow wires so needs to be directly hooked into the fuse box for power. I did this for the Honda, but...

JVC receiver suddenly has no power

I have a jvc ar880 car stereo installed in my 2007 VW Passat. It's been installed since about 2010 with several accessories; bluetooth, SIRIUS and CD changer. All has been working great. Suddenly, this morning the main head unit won't turn on when I start the car. Therefore, I guess I am gonna...

where can I connect my black and yellow wires?

can I easily tap into the power seat yellow wire? Maybe some sort of alligator style clip? Or do I have to cut it and splice them all back together? I'm just afraid of cutting something and then not being able to get the seat to function properly somehow.

where can I connect my black and yellow wires?

yes, seats are powered. IF I do "extend" the wire, do I simply tie into the exisiting yellow/black connection on the back of the JVC receiver (between receiver and wire harness adapter) and have 3 wires connected for yellow, 3 for black?

where can I connect my black and yellow wires?

I have a 2007 VW Passat with a JVC stereo I installed in it several years ago. I also hooked up a changer, SIRIUS (JVC SIR-1) tuner and bluetooth adapter to it. These all sit under the driver's seat and all has been working great. I recently got a JVC KSSRA100 (along with a SIRIUSConnect tuner...

can I record from the preamp outputs?

I was interested in recording the output sound from a car stereo I have installed in my truck (long story). It has AUX ports on both the front and back, but these are "IN" & I didn't think there was any other output other than the speaker wires. However, I'm wondering about the RCA premap...

multiple JVC components & their order

I have a JVC KD-AR880 unit that I had in a 2003 VW Passt. The car was in an accident and totalled, but I was able to pull out all the custom JVC equipment including the following: KD-AR880 receiver JVC BTA-200 bluetooth adapter JVC SIR-JVC1 SIRIUS tuner JVC CH-X1500 12 disc CD changer...

Is "Bus audio in" essentially an AUX port?

I'm looking to get a new car stereo for my truck. I have decided to get the Sony CDX-GT550UI. I have been able to locate the manual online and have looked it over thoroughly. In its rear panel diagram, it has two RCA ports listed as "Bus audio in". Is this essentially like an AUX port on the...

    factory or JVC head unit?

I have a 2003 VW Passat wagon with a factory installed Monsoon stereo system. The head unit is just a generic CD/Tape deck with AM/FM radio, but doesn't have satellite radio or mp3 playback capability. I am looking at possibly getting a JVC head unit that offers both of these missing functions...
