97 Silverado regular cab, first timer build.

Thanks for the feed back guys. When I installed the amp I used the hole that held the factory jack in place as my ground. As part of my "clean up" work, I do plan on moving the ground to the frame and it will be out of the way. I still can't decide on how I want to make the beauty panel. Build a...

97 Silverado regular cab, first timer build.

Ok guys first time builder here. I wanted to add some bass to complement my components, so here's my attempt at building a box. I did a quick install to make sure I would be happy with the kicker sub, so now its time to clean up the wiring, cover the box and maybe make some kind of trim cover...

    JVC Arsenal KD-AHD59

Thanks for the reply's. Thats what ive heard as well about the controls, and thats why I wanted to to hear from people with hands on experience. Would I be better off getting a head unit with out the HD radio built in? Is there a negative effect of having HD radio built in? I was also looking at...

    JVC Arsenal KD-AHD59

Just wanted to get some opinions on this jvc head unit. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KDAHD59/JVC-Arsenal-KD-AHD59.html?tp=5684 It has every thing I want on it, HD radio, 5 volt outputs, mp3, usb, etc. How good is the quality of JVC? Ive looked at Alpine and Kenwood as well but the JVC looks...

    CVT Box help

I know many of you don't care for the shallow subs but i picked up fairly cheap and would like to build a box for it. The manual that came with the 10" sub says it needs to be in a .8 enclosure volume. You can buy this sub already in a box from kicker, using there box dimensions I come up with...

    RE Audio 8" Sub

On there website the 8" subs are listed as 4 ohm DVC but i'm finding some on ebay listed as single. Do they make both? Misprint or older sub?

    Single 8" or 10" sub???

I know how to wire the sub for 8 ohms but how do connect it to th amp?

    Single 8" or 10" sub???

My amp isn't 2 ohm stable when bridged so will this all work together? Its a kicker zx650.4 and the re sub says its dual 4 ohm coil. Will this have to be ran in stereo? The re sub also states as being 175 watt rms, is that per coil or total of both coils?

    Single sub wiring help

I'm looking to install a single re audio re series 8" sub with dual 4 ohm voice coils. My amp is a kicker zx650.4 with 2 channels going to my components and i was planning on using the other 2 bridged for a single sub. The amp is not 2 ohm stable when bridged, so how do i go about wiring this up?

    Single 8" or 10" sub???

The kicker amp i have puts out 325 rms watts @ 4 ohms. Wouldn't a sealed box make tighter bass? I have to have my seat all the way back so space is an issue for me. Is this what your talking about...

    Single 8" or 10" sub???

I have a set of 6.5" components in my single cab and would like to add alittle more bass. I listen to mainly heavy metal, rock, alternative, no rap or anything like that. I don't want a system that you can hear me coming a mile away but something nice clean and simple. Would a shallow 8" be...

    zx350.4 vs zx650.4

Looking for one amp to run my components 100w rms each and one 8" sub rated at 200w rms. Can i get by with using the zx350.4 getting 60w rms to the components and 175w rms bridged to the sub? Or would i be better off stepping up to the zx650.4 120w rms and 325w rms bridged and adjusting my gains...
