The oem head unit probaly has a volume dependent eq built in. That is something that would need to be defeated. Units like the audio fix and jbl ms8 can accomplish this. Loisisatool here on this forum is well versed in the late model ford sync systems. He uses a ms8.

Sonic had some image dynamics 4x6 plate speakers pretty inexpensively (like 30 bucks). They would be a good choice. The drivers side may or may not fit though. The drivers side opening is alittle more cramped than the passengers side. What ever you choose try to isolate the front of the speaker...

Take a looking at k_h_a's first post. Option #2 . Substitute 4 ohm for 2 ohm. That will give you a 4 ohm load. That is what your looking for.

You cannot get a 2 ohm load with 2 dvc 4s. You can only 1,4, or 16 ohms.
