    6x8's for a mustang

My friend wants to replace the speakers in his '98 mustang GT and I checked crutchfield and they said that the front and rear take 6x8s so I checked out their options and I'm looking at the Pioneer 6x8s. One pair is 3 way and the other pair is 4 way. Should I get two sets of 4 ways or make one...

SOLD FS: Pioneer Premier PRS-X220 amp

I know that's the actual because the Premier amps come with a certification sheet from the factory that tells you the actual amount of power they push out.

SOLD FS: Pioneer Premier PRS-X220 amp

I bought this amp (in January) to run one 10, but I had problems with bass cancellation in my trunk so I'm unable to use it.. Via the certification sheet... Power x2 @ 4 Ohms -- 30 watts (Rated) -- 69 watts (Actual) Power x1 @ 4 Ohms -- 120 watts (Rated) -- 238 watts (Actual) I'd like $50...

SOLD Interest Check: Pioneer Premier X220 amp/Pioneer Sub

I just bought a Pioneer Premier X220 amp and Pioneer W254C (10") sub but for some reason there is a problem with the bass being cancelled out in my trunk so I guess the only thing to do is sale the stuff. The sub is in a sealed Q-logic box (.65cu ft) and is for sale too. Make me an offer. Don't...

    New Sub Problem

Yes, that is EXACTLY it. If you got in my car with the trunk closed, and I turned up the music, you'd never know I had a subwoofer... I have a 97 Chevy Lumina. Sounds very deep and forceful with the trunk open, though.

    New Sub Problem

I just installed one 10" Pioneer W254C into a sealed q-logic box (w/ Premier X220 amp) and it doesn't sound all that great. However, when I open the trunk the bass is awesome. I can close the trunk, sit in the car and listen and then press the trunk button and all of a sudden it comes to life...

    New Amp/Sub installation

Okay well I just went outside and turned it on and felt for air and there is a lot of air coming out at the top and bottom of the thing but not on the sides. I didn't drill holes the first time I put this in, I put two rolls of foam on the sub and 1 roll of foam on the q-ring thing (btw, where...

    New Amp/Sub installation

The air is coming out around the edge where the sub is screwed in and I'm a little confused about what you said about the turn-on lead. When I pulled out the radio (Pioneer DEH-2300), the blue wire from the wiring harness was conneced to the radio. I disconnected them and hooked the amp turn on...

    New Amp/Sub installation

I finally got my amp installed today. My amp is a Pioneer Premier 220 (or whatever the smallest 120w model is). Had some problems at first, like I hooked up the turn-on thing to the blue power antenna lead, but that didn't work, so I tried this orange wire called dimmer and it finally came to...

    Help Choosing a Box

Hey Jmac, I saw in another thread that you participated in about how you were talking about the bad sound quality of RF amps and you were recommending Premier Amps. Well, I was looking at the PRS-X220 now. It only puts out 120w but I think that would be enough for my one sub, agree?
