Quick Question about RF 200S

I was looking at the specs for the Rockford Fosgate Punch 200S amp and on the website it says it takes 10 guage wire. Does that mean I can't use 8 guage, or is it just a recommendation?

ive got the 400s. about the wire... i dont think u need heavyer gauge for it. (240watts max) but u could def fit 8 gauge in there

man get the 300s

the 200s doesnt have the features of the 300s and above

But I'm only going to be running one 10" sub, I don't need the 300S. I don't want people to hear me 2 miles away, I just wanted some added bass.
