    6.5 to 5.25, What do I need?

Can't tell if serious or trolling... If the speaker is mounted to the sheet metal of the door and the magnet fits through the hole, you can, indeed, use a spacer to make a larger speaker fit a smaller hole...

Anyone used an Aura Stage 2 amp?

Considering buying this: Aura RPM2300 RPM Stage 2 Mobile Amplifier 2x150W 269-189 Due to rebate, decent SNR and headroom for my speakers (infinity kappa components, 5.25s rated at 85wrms each). I'm assuming (hoping) that the rating on this thing is 150wrms/channel. The kappas are my front...

    best 6.5 speakers

Very true. I have found great aftermarket speakers in the junkyard, some old pioneers from the mid 90s and some eclipse 6x9s. Also several headunits. You can get some good stuff.

MA PRD 500.1, How did I do?

So I recently bought a memphis audio PRD 500.1 amp off this guy at a garage sale for ~10$. I hooked it up and played with it for a minute, seems to work pretty well. It only amplified things below ~300hz, I'm not sure if that is normal or not. The rest of the frequencies were simply not present...

    SQ Jensen Ftmfw

So did you ever actually use these? My friend is doing a cheapy build and refuses to spend over 50$ on a pair of 6.5" components. Would you recommend or not? If not, I'm telling him to **** it up and buy a cadence cwm6.

    Micro holes for tweeters?

Yeah my honda is a 98 and I'm in western NYS so the rust eats through just about everything but the interior is usually untouched. There are a few good yards around here, there is one in Horseheads, Binghamton and an alright one in Rochester.

    Micro holes for tweeters?

Yeah, I was going to try the micro hole first and if it doesn't work, no harm done! That is a good idea however, doing an ultra flush mount. I could just add something to bolster the tweeters ugly surface mount until the appropriate height was reached (I could even use washers.) And 400$ for a...

    Micro holes for tweeters?

That's a great idea! I'll give that a shot prior to finding a surface mount kit. I got the smallest bit carried by my local ace hardware. It is pretty **** small. Any ideas of about what size I should be using?

    Micro holes for tweeters?

Unfortunately my flush mount kit was lost with little hopes of ever finding it and there isn't a stock mount position. I can see why it would look like crap if I tried to do it by hand though... Are there aftermarket mounts sold for 1" tweeters? I don't mind modifying my door panels I suppose, I...

    Micro holes for tweeters?

Hey guys. I'm trying to install my infinity kappa tweeters in my honda civic doors. I wouldn't mind going for a stealth approach and hiding the tweeter behind the door panel as there is no stock mounting point. I have read about people drilling holes in their door panels, a bunch of small holes...

whats it actually going to cost me?

So absolutely no gains would be made by covering the entire surface in deadening? I was reading the (stickied) FAQ and it suggested to cover the entire surface. It wouldn't kill road noise or anything like that? I always kindof thought that deadening was designed not only to stop panel vibration...

whats it actually going to cost me?

I got 50 feet of b-stock for 100$, shipped. That's 2$/ft^2, SHIPPED! I am waiting to try it out. I thought door deadening took more like 10-15 ft^2 per door, especially with a layer on the outer panel and a layer on the inner panel (but I have never done it before, just what I have heard.) Or do...
