    WTB: Alpine MRV-1507

I saw a couple there, not 6. They all looked pretty ratty. But I sent inquiries.

    Which of these 2 subwoofers?

Just stick with Kicker, probably the CVRs.

2 month old Alpine Type R...blown

There's too many stories like this. Look at the user reviews for Alpine's subs (SWE 1243) on Crutchfield's site. I had ordered two but cancelled the order and stayed with the Kickers. I don't know **** you did to those subs. It's a stinking 750 amp. I'm scared of Alpine subs.

    Alpine @ 8 ohms

He had me goose stepping all around the office. If I'd a known that was the deal, I'd a probably gone with Kicker CVRs and the ZX750 to begin with.

    Alpine @ 8 ohms

The guy at Alpine says by doing it that way I'm back to 100 watts per sub, which I'm not sure I believe. He says it's way too little for the subs, which are Alpine SWE 1243s rated at 100 -250 watts. He made me go out and order a M500.1, which is made for those subs and which I did order just now...

    Alpine @ 8 ohms

I have an Alpine MRV-T757 that I'm going to use to power two 4 ohm, 12" Alpine subs. The amp is rated as fiollows, at 14.4 volts: two channels at 4 ohms = 100 watts per channel; two channels at 2 ohms= 200 watts per channel; bridged at 4 ohms = 400 watts. Now, what I'm going to do...

Looking to Upgrade my Kicker Comp vr w new subs

I interpret 'punchy' to mean his 15"ers are too big. Try some 12s or 10s. I don't think there's anything wrong with Kicker CVRs.

    Amplifier Desireability Quotient (ADQ)

There are so many amplifier manufacturers out there it is hard to know which ones are any good or how to keep them straight. I can't remember if U.S. Amps, or Boss or any of the others are premium or discount manufacturers. I'd like to get your rating, based upon your experience and knowledge...

    WTB: Alpine MRV-1507

If you have one, let me know. If you have a more recent version of the same thing, let me know. It should come with the original box, original birth certificate, and original instruction booklet. Thanks,

    Raxx in Janesville, WI

I've wondered where Raxx moved to for several years. I don't know about the current owner, but about 7 years ago it was owned by two extremely knowledgable audiophiles somewhere around Delafield, at 83 and 94. They were great. THey got pissed at me though because I didn't buy their JL Audio amps.
