Which of these 2 subwoofers?

A little background: I have an 08 Impreza hatch, so I have very little trunk space. I currently have 2 amps back there plus a 12 inch sub, and they render the trunk useless. This is why I have decided to get a new 10", and re-arrange the amp placement.

I have narrowed it down to these 2 choises:

I am looking for SQ this time (the 12" is a S12L7), and from reading opinions CDT seems like a good bet, and I know DLS is good as well. Due to the fact I live in a place where high end car audio is not so prevalent, its the only good choises I have.

Based on the numbers up there, which would you get?

Oh yes, the sub will be powered by an Alpine PDX-1.600

I would go with neither and if u have 600 watts to work with find something better...

There is nothing better I can get for the price (CDT = $350, DSL = $440). If I want something that will give me good SQ AND over 500rms, I am looking at atleast $800 as a base price.

Edit: Go to http://electronica.mercadolibre.cl/audio-car-subwoofers/subwoofer_OrderId_PRICE*DESC , divide prices by 500 to see what it would cost me in dollars.

$350 budget there are soooo many options

dayton ho(10" rated 600 watts and costs $127 new)

AE AV (10" is rated 750 watts and costs $190 new)

those are the ones i would go with but there are more as well

IDQ 10 $240 new, rated 500 but will take 600np

There are a pair of 12's on eBay Id snag if I had the cash. A brand new DIYMA R12 and a brand new Audiomobile Evo 12".

its almost like no one even read your post.

is it possible for you to order something in your country on the internet? because that is a definitely a steep price to pay for what your getting. you'd probably get a better deal buying something in the US and having it shipped to you.

Yeah, not many read the thread it seems.

Ordering via ebay is not an option because shipping costs are huge. Around $250 por like a 30 pound shipment, plus 30% customs tax upon arrival. No dice.

what type of enclosure and car is it going in?

actually,

in the right enclosure i'd bet the difference between the two is minimal so i'd go the cheaper route: cdt.

psst, guys, he's in chile! SA 10's are out of the question.

My vote is for the cheaper of the two as well. Unless for some reason that DLS can dig lower that the CDT in a smaller box. Model them both up in winisd and see which can perform better in the small enclosure you are looking for.

$250 for shipping + 30% tax...Let's say it's a "cheap" $100 woofer. That's his $350 budget plus some in just shipping, same quality of woofer not included.
