    Rigging up my "sub"

A rep from Alpine personally told me thier 50x4 hu has a real rms output of 16x4, and the competition was extremely close to that.

    Nearly Ready to Fiberglass (Questions)

If you have troubles laying cloth onto verticle parts you cannot tilt, slap a little resin on the part, stick the mat to it, and dab more resin in to soak, resin is relevently sticky, should be fine.

    fiberglass questions

It doesn't really matter what kind of rope you are using, you could even use wood. The idea here is that fiberglass gains tromendous strength from having ridges, bends, and curves in it. All you are doing is putting ribs in it to strengthen it... I suggest using a pattern like this # in your box...

    More subs... Same amp?

I am currently running 2 Infinity 1230w SVC 300w RMS 1200w peak subs on a MTX 801d Amplifier. Would it be possible to run 2 more infinity 10's or 12's on this amp or would I have to daisy chain another in? BTW the Subs are 4ohm and the amp gives specs for both 4ohm and 2ohm. The 2 Subs i...

    Craziest projects/pipe dreams

Here is a whole new idea that is completely original.... a Escalade painted black, or white pearl on 22-24 inch rims. Saddest thing to me in the stars have so much money they could do ANYTHING to a car, yet most still have the same boring tank looking POS on like $40,000 rims. I give way higher...

Will this be a good match?

I have 2 12'inch Infinity 1230w Reference Series. Not sure on the difference to the "Perfect" Series, but I love my subs, they hit as hard as any ecenomical costing sub could IMO:P

    Port Turbulance?

After putting my subs back into my box I am getting a really weird humming/whistling sound from them. I rounded the edges of the PVC ports in the box and now I am getting a sound like blowing air over a beer bottle. What's up? should I not have beveled the bottom? Or could it be something...

    hissing... uhhh?

my ports are 3 inches wide by 10-1/2 long. They worked fine before I rounded the edges, but I was told it would create beter flow, so I did it... I am quite certain I have no air leaks around the subs, or anywhere else in the box for that matter. Everthing is woodglued and siliconed out the ass...

    hissing... uhhh?

By the way the hissing only seems to come in certain base notes, so i get "good bass good bass good bass" then Hissing with bass hissing with bass hissing with base."

    WTF happened, major clipping?

Hey guys, new update. Problem Solved. There was a reverse polarity issue from trying to wire in the dark on a chrome amplifier... hahaha! one sub was *******, the other was pushing, cancelation gave me hardly any sound AND the one ******* was bottoming out, causing the "clicking" issue:P Thanks...

    hissing... uhhh?

Now I got my subs in, ports tuned, amp needs work, but it's comming, but here is a strange thing. I rounded the top and bottom of my ports, because someone told me it allows better air flow. Now I am getting a strange hissing sound out of my ports. It is hissing, but almost fluttering. Any...

system doesnt sound right.. could someone try to help?

You may want to double check your polarities, I had a problem with subs hardly getting any output at all and making a clicking sound to boot. I had one of my polarities reversed and it was ******* the sub in, instead of pushing it out. Might Help.... Just a thought though.
