jbl 1200 is a great amp for the price, puts out the watts it says it does. Only downside is no subsonic filter and maybe the 12 db crossovers. I've found it very durable in my use also.

Yea class D and @ 1 or 2 ohms, the XXX wires to 1.2 ohms. The JBL is something like 70% efficient, and I'm just looking for an amp that has less amp pull for every watt put out.

Can anyone tell me some nice high efficiency amps that are under 500 dollars and will put out 1000+ watts RMS. I mean like 85% efficient. Right now I'm running a jbl 1200.1 and it's not doing that bad on the stock alt @ 2 ohms, but I'm going to a RE XXX 15" soon, bringing down the ohm load...

Get 2 12" brahmas!... also incase you do some amp upgrades in the future. Never get enough of that good sounding bass.

I run two shivas and a jbl 1200.1.... I chose the 1200 because I was gonna throw them in a smaller box than what is normally recommended. 1.25 cube for each ( before displacement ). They handle the power just fine in that. I would say if you're gonna put them in a bigger box get the 600...

Well not 500 exactly, but 400-600 range. Looking for a mix of 60/40 sq / spl, or a 50/50 split. Was looking at the 12w6v2, but was wondering what other people might think. :crazy:
